Hey Oiyan - A nice compliment for you at dkos:

Keep Up the Great Work Oiyan

Oiyan was one of several APIA volunteers who traveled to Hawaii for our caucuses in February. She did great work out here in Hawaii, and it's obvious that she still has the fire. Here's to a huge turnout of APIA voters for Barack in November. Hawaii will definitely contribute more than its fair share!

Another great comment:

I listened in in Philly

It was wonderful. Highlights for me:

When Obama stated that he was a Pacific Islander

When he said that he felt that Asian Americans will finally feel included in America when his half-Indonesian and half-Chinese neice is seen on the White House Lawn

And finally, he gave a shout-out to the Philly Chinatown Obama Office.

I think Senator Obama has a lot of work to do with the Asian community but I have confidence in the Asian Americans who are working for him in communities across the country. Their exuberance and dedication is noteworthy so it bodes well for November.

I'm sorry I missed it, but it sounds like it was a great event! Really proud that AAPIs represented so enthusiastically, and that Senator Obama took the questions from AAPIs seriously. Looking forward to more recaps.
